Apparently the new album that AC/DC was recording last summer and fall will feature the same lineup as their last album, Rock of Bust — including retired bassist Cliff Williams.
Williams posted a video after the band wrapped up their world tour in 2016 saying that it was time for him “to step out.” And he wasn’t photographed outside Vancouver’s Warehouse studios like Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd, leading most fans to believe he wasn’t involved. But a newly unearthed photo posted by Canadian personal trainer Scott Frinskie on Instagram shows Williams and Johnson after a workout at a Vancouver hotel. The photo appears to have been taken in September 2018, but wasn’t posted until December.
Of course the AC/DC camp, as usual, has been very tight-lipped and hasn’t confirmed that there’s a new album on the way or that Johnson, Rudd and Williams are back in.
