The CEO of the company that makes the Ronnie James Dio hologram says their new, improved version of it both “looks” and “feels real.”
Jeff Pezzuti heads Eyellusion, which made the original Dio hologram that went on the road with Dio Disciples in 2016 and has updated it for the tour that kicks off May 31st in Fort Meyers, Florida. He tells the Fort Meyers News-Press that fans will see “a real metal show,” although he adds that “you have to suspend your disbelief. Everybody knows he’s not there. We wish he was, but he’s not.”
Dio’s widow Wendy spoke to us about this time last year that she didn’t feel the eyes and eyebrows were quite right on Ronnie’s hologram “so it’s back on the drawing board right now.” Apparently, she’s happy with the new look.
