Join us for a nondenominational church service Christmas morning at the restored Colony Church!
Since 1970, the service has been a tradition in Bishop Hill to reaffirm the community’s Swedish heritage.
Lit entirely by candlelight, the event will feature traditional readings & conventional hymns played on a pump organ.
Visitors are encouraged to dress warm.
Following of all current COVID-19 protocols including the wearing of a mask or face covering is required for entry.
Coffee and rusks will be available on the first floor of the Colony Church after the one hour service.
The Colony Church is located at 101 Maiden Lane.
There is no cost to attend this event.
Please note that the Colony Church and rest of Bishop Hill State Historic Site will be closed after 8 a.m. so staff can enjoy the rest of the holiday with their families
